When is in-person Worship?
Our in-person Worship is at 10AM Eastern. This service is also livestreamed on Facebook and recorded and uploaded to YouTube the following week.
I've never been to a liturgical service. How is it different?
Never worshipped like this before? No worries! You will receive a bulletin when you arrive. The bold words are read out loud together by the congregation. The asterisk next to some songs and prayers indicates we will stand at those times. If you aren't comfortable speaking aloud with the group or are unable to stand, that is okay, too!
Is there Sunday School?
Yes, we have an adult (13 and up) Sunday School called "Lydia Class" on Sunday mornings before Worship at 9AM Eastern. If you enter through the "back doors" between the fenced-in playgrounds, it is to the right, all the way down the hallway in a room with an open door.
The Nursery has lessons for kids 5 and under during Worship that are age-appropriate versions of the same scripture and sermon in Worship.
Can I take Communion?
We have Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome to partake in Communion at FPC, regardless of membership, baptism, age, or denomination. Our belief statement on Communion is as follows:
“The opportunity to eat and drink with Christ is not a right bestowed upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, & love. All who come to the table are offered the bread and cup, regardless of their age or understanding.”
What accessibility devices are available?
We have headphones to assist those hard of hearing or with sensory sensitivities! They are located next to the bulletins in the Lobby, right before you enter the Sanctuary. If you need to take a break from the Sanctuary, there is a sensory-sensitive space behind the Sanctuary called the Fireside Room. This is an open room with two couches to the back left of the lobby. There are adjustable lights and a speaker so you can continue to listen to and participate in Worship. If you have any questions, please do ask the Elder of the Day at the table in the Lobby.
