The Life of the Church

Alphabet of Gratitude—This November, we practice gratitude together using the alphabet! Materials for all ages are available in the lobby, and we will also share access via email. Bring completed books to church at the end of November for a special prize!

The Worship Team meets at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, November 14 in the Conference Room. Are you interested in helping to plan worship services and related details? Please stop in and see what we are about!

The Doris Dahl Memorial Garden Renovation Team will meet this Tuesday, November 14 at 10 AM in the Fellowship Hall. We will discuss the bid proposal, paver styles, and paver pillars. Everyone is welcome; just walk right in!

On Thanksgiving Day, area churches and Helping Hand of Hope are co-sponsoring a Thanksgiving Dinner to be hosted at St. James School. If you would like to have a meal, contact Helping Hand of Hope at 270-769-3092 by November 20, 2023. If you would like to volunteer your time for preparation, serving, or meal delivering sign up via 270-268-6246. Donations for turkeys and pies are due next Sunday, November 16, 2023.

Help care for our neighbors by serving on our FPC Room in the Inn Team: The Outreach Ministry Team is following God’s leading and organizing a team of FPC volunteers for Room in the Inn, our community cold-weather shelter for those experiencing homelessness.

Our team will serve on December 5 & 19, along with the first and second Tuesdays of January and February. There are a variety of roles available, including providing snacks or breakfast, staying overnight, and praying for the ministry. If you are interested in serving in any capacity or have questions, contact Joy Swope. (swopeje@hotmail.com)

Thank you to everyone who donated candy and other items for Candypalooza! Your generosity lit up some lives!

Can you spare around 20 minutes after worship on Sunday? We are looking for more offering counters. After being trained, you can sign up for any Sunday that works for you. There are 2 counters each Sunday, so you’ll never be on your own. To serve in this capacity, you must be 18 years, a member of FPC, and willing to learn the process. You can indicate interest on the connection card or talk to Dani Cole, FPC treasurer. (emaildani@aol.com)
