Join our Vision for 2026

First Presbyterian Church
2026 Pledge
Throughout worship this autumn, we’re reflecting on what it means to live generously when we are grounded in our identity as God’s beloved children — created in God’s image and called to reflect that image in how we live, love, and give.

Our world is full of messages about success, security, and status. We’re told to hold tightly, accumulate more, and measure our value by comparison. But what if the way of Christ leads us in a completely different direction?

As we embark on this journey together, we acknowledge the unique perspectives of our church family, while realizing we all follow Jesus in a way that's different from the world around us. We are called to live generously, love deeply, and root our identity not in the world’s expectations, but in God’s transforming grace. We are blessed to see radical love and generosity at work here, and in 2025 God’s grace surrounded us as we:
-
Hired Adam Abdel-Rahman to assist Conner with our Sunday Worship livestreams and Liz Mangan to assist in the office due to our rapid growth (18% increase in Sunday attendance).
-
Continued to grow our Messy Church congregation — several of our Messy Church families have started attending Sunday Worship. Pastor Chelsea continues to serve on the board of Messy Church USA, now as board chair.
-
Added new groups, which have connected our congregation: Parenting Circle provides a space for parents of children 0-3 to explore practicing faith at home in a meaningful way, and craft group Common Threads invites all to embrace their creative side and share their crafts and passions while building community.
-
Supporting Room In the Inn - RITI was able to stay open as a day shelter this summer due in part to the support we provide. We will continue to volunteer this winter as RITI reopens the overnight shelter.

We are so glad you are a part of this community, and your presence is a gift to us. We invite you to prayerfully consider making a commitment to participate with others in the congregation in funding the ministry of this church for 2026.
Below you will find the link to share your Estimate of Giving with us. These estimates help us plan and allocate resources effectively to further God’s work through our church. Your Estimate of Giving can be updated at any time, as we all know that sometimes life happens and plans change.
Together, we are investing in a future where First Presbyterian Church can continue to witness to God’s extravagant, inclusive love for all.
Thank you again for being a part of our community!
In Christ's love,
Pastor Chelsea
