Commit to our Vision for 2024

First Presbyterian Church 2024 Pledge

The world needs more community, compassion, justice and love - and that's exactly what First Presbyterian Church sets out to provide every day.  We are a community on a mission!  Following Jesus, we're called to thrive and to help our neighbors thrive, creating abundant life for all.

For almost 200 years, First Presbyterian Church has been a beacon of community in Elizabethtown; a gathering place, a refuge and a wellspring of service for neighbors here in Hardin County and around the world.  Through our Creation Care Ministry and Messy Church, we build community by gathering and connecting.  Through contributions to mission partners like Helping Hand of Hope and collaborations with Warm Blessings and Room in the Inn, we build community by serving.  Our choir and music director build community through the arts.  Our Children and Youth Ministries and Fellowship Groups build community through learning and spiritual practice.  Moreover, the heart of First Presbyterian Church's community is worship.  Every time we gather, pray, listen to God's good news, sing and celebrate, we build up God's Beloved Community with joy and beauty.  God knows the world needs more joy and beauty!

We encourage you to spend time in thought and prayer about what it means for you to be a part of the abundant life Christ gives us.  How might God be calling you to support the ministries of First Presbyterian Church in 2024?  Generosity is a spiritual practice of living out our gratitude for all God has given us.  How might God change your life as you give of your wisdom, experience, passion and financial resources?  Pledges and gifts of any size allow us to sustain and grow our ministries, extend our reach and share God's love with more people.  A pledge is simply an estimate of giving, a statement of what you hope to commit to.  It can be updated at any time, as we all know that sometimes life happens and plans change.
