Small Group Worship

Our Service for Healing and Wholeness meets at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Sunday evening of odd months (the fourth Sunday in January, March, May, July, September, and November.) This contemplative service has been created to give people a space to bring their prayers for healing and wholeness to the elders for prayer and laying on of hands. The service is very Presbyterian - done decently and in order - and is a wonderful, quiet space in which we can pray for each other. Ask an elder or call the office if you would like more information.

The Mighty Acts of God Bible Study meets most Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:20 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Bring your own supper or snack if you wish. Coffee and lemonade will be provided. Childcare is provided. This study is lead by the pastor and is an in depth journey through the Bible. Bring your bible. Study books are available.

Self-directed Mid-week Prayer in the Chapel happens each Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. before Bread for the Journey. The Bess Miller Chapel is a great space in which to pray for personal needs, the congregation, leadership, the Church in the world, national and international needs.

No-Name Gamers meet at 7:00 p.m. on Fridays Fellowship Hall (or in a nearby classroom if Fellowship Hall is being used by another group.) This adult group normally plays dominoes and usually wraps up around 10:00 p.m. Call the church office for more information. 270.765.7663.

VIPs (Very Important Presbyterians) meet twice a month to share a meal and fellowship. Once a month they meet for breakfast. Once a month they meet for lunch. All are welcome to join them. Locations and times are announced in the bulletin and on the calendars.

Presbyterian Men of the Church sponsor or participate in several major events throughout the year: Chili Cook-Off, Senior Q at Helmwood Healthcare, and the Annual Christmas Party.

Presbyterian Women gather for monthly meetings September through June of each year. They have also been involved in fundraising to replace the flooring in the Fellowship Hall (three years ago,) the hallways (two years ago,) the concourse (last year,) and new tables for Fellowship Hall this year! Other annual events are the Fall Festival and the Spring Luncheon as well as assisting with many events in the life of the church. There are two PW Circles: The Lydia Circle which meets weekly during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Church School hour and the Bess Miller Morning Circle which meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Both circles are working through the Horizon Bible Study.
