In the Life of the Congregation 11-19-21

Join our mission to serve boldly and build real relationships: submit your pledge card indicating your estimated giving to the church in 2022 by November 28. Thank you for your generosity!

Donations for Affordable Christmas are due by November 28—next Sunday!

Advent candle sets are available in the Concourse. Advent, the season of preparation before celebrating Christmas, starts November 28.

A 4- week Advent Bible study looking at each Sunday’s scriptures begins the week after Thanksgiving. We will meet either Monday evenings or Tuesdays before 3:00 pm. Talk to Chelsea if you’re interested and have a preference.

Share good cheer with us in the Elizabethtown Christmas parade on December 4 at 5:00 pm. We need walkers and also individuals to ride in the vehicle. Sign up with Candy Ott!

Messy Church is coming! Save the date of December 11, 10-11:30 am, and plan to attend or volunteer!

The FPC Christmas elves are on the loose! And they need cookies to share God’s love with our community friends and partners at Helmwood Healthcare. If you can make or donate a couple dozen cookies for this outreach effort, sign up with our Head Elf (Lin Linder). Cookies will need to be turned in by December 17.

Signs of Hope and Dreams of the Future—as we consider the “Future with Hope” that God has for us, help prepare for it by filling up the bulletin board in the Concourse with the brown tags provided on the table. You can write as many as you want. You can write ways you are seeing God at work now (signs of hope) and any dreams you have for the church for the future. Think small as you look for signs of hope and dream big as you imagine the future!
