On Sunday, November 7, we will commemorate All Saints’ Day during worship. There will be a time of remembrance for those who have died since the previous All Saints’ Day. If you have someone whose name you would like to be read during the service, contact the church office or indicate the name on our connection card.
In order to adapt to the times, free up energy, and streamline our ministries, the Session has voted to realign some of the structures we use to carry out God's ministry through this congregation. We now have four main ministry teams: Worship, Outreach & Evangelism, Spiritual Nurture, and Stewardship. Stewardship is a new ministry team and will be responsible for stewarding our resources that allow ministry to take place, including our finances, building and grounds, and IT. All deacon ministries have been assigned to a main ministry team so that they have team support. We would love to have your voice on a ministry team for the spring semester. If you would like to learn more, talk to Pastor Chelsea.
Help care for our neighbors by serving on our FPC Room in the Inn Team: The Outreach Ministry Team is following God’s leading and organizing a team of FPC volunteers for Room in the Inn, our community cold-weather shelter for those experiencing homelessness. Our team will serve on December 9 , January 13, and February 10. The different volunteer roles we need to fill are listed below. A training will be provided. If you are interested in serving in any capacity or have questions, contact Joy Swope (swopeje@hotmail.com)
