Wednesday Evenings - Bread for the Journey
Our summer Wednesday evening schedule:
5:45 p.m. - Drivers gather to deliver meals to at home members
6:00 p.m. - Bread for the Journey Supper
6:30 p.m. - Blessing, Celebrations and Singing
Children and younger youth may go to the Childcare Suite
for Mission Possible, homework help, and supervised play.
6:45 p.m. - Bread for the Journey Bible Study - this summer Pastor Skip Dunford will lead the adults in a shorter version of the Working On the Word Bible Study each Wednesday evening. Children and youth will engage in their own activities during the Bible Study time.
7:30 p.m. - Chancel Choir meets in the Choir Room

AUGUST 24:
Summer Night Supper– The Handleys - Chicken, fresh corn, etc.
"Sing the Faith" is the program for the evening with info on the Barnabas Project interspersed
Volunteers serve on cooking teams to prepare meals for the congregation. Donations are suggested to cover the cost of the meal: $4 per person ($10 family maximum); potluck meals with meat provided - $2 per person ($5 family maximum); potluck meals – free with the contribution of a dish to share. Please do not allow the suggested donations keep you from participating – contribute what you can, when you can!
BREAD FOR THE JOURNEY DRIVERS NEEDED
Each week we deliver Bread for the Journey meals to our at home members. See the signup sheet in the Fellowship Hall to volunteer (volunteers are needed). Directions are provided. Drivers gather at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesdays to pick up the meals to be delivered.
BREAD FOR THE JOURNEY CLEAN-UP TEAM(S) NEEDED
We're developing clean-up teams so that the clean-up responsibilities don't always fall to the same people! With special attention being given to potluck evenings, we need volunteers to help make this task light work with many hands! See Marge Handley to sign up.
