The Chapel Class - Just past the Youth Room, the class meets in the Chapel. The Chapel Class is beginning a new study: "A History of Christianity" using a BBC series. It is presented by Diarmaid MacCulloch, an Oxford history professor and deacon in the Anglican church. Beginning with the origins of Christianity, it delves into what it means to be a Christian. Intelligent, thought-provoking and traveling to sites around the world it examines how a small Jewish sect that preached humility became the biggest religion in the world.
The Thoughtful Christian Class - This class meets in the Activity Room. The Thoughtful Christian Class is using the new PC(USA) curriculum "Engage: Discipleship." This is a new evangelism study to help churches learn how to share their faith. Members who can share their faith join together in God’s mission of transformation in their neighborhoods and communities.
The Faith Seekers Class will begin on October 18th by delving into a study of spiritual gifts: the definition, purpose and how to determine what gifts we have (with the caveat that there is no foolproof method). The class will compare spiritual gifts with gifts of the spirit and natural gifts and end with ways to practically apply their gifts.
The Lydia Circle is a Presbyterian Women's circle which meets weekly during the Sunday Church School hour. Their room is at the end of the hall past the Young Disciples Room.
